A very scary Xmas from (and to) everyone at Arkhamsoft!

A very nice Xmas greeting from Homegrown Games in the forum - and it's full of screenshots of Anderson II.

Giant alien city-eating monsters from beyond the moon! I guess there's a touch of cosmic horror about Puppygames' Revenge of the Titans but there's a lot of comic sci-fi too.

This is a terrific PC game which is a kind of tower-defence-meets-real-time-strategy mash-up. Beautiful retro graphics like all the Puppygames' works and a very surprisingly deep world of gameplay too.

An interesting new teaser site has sprung up for a game called The Asylum.

The lead designer is apparently the same chap that was behind the rather nifty Scratches a couple years back. (Most memorable, I reckon, for it's awesome Cellar Of Rats soundtrack!)

There's a fascinating little trailer to look at and some galleries on the site. Apparently the game itself is expected in 2011. Here's the link:

Congratulations are in order for Terrormaster of Digital Necropolis on the launch of his new site and project: Mythos Adventures - a home for a new, planned series of Lovecraftian adventure games.

Some friendly chaps from Homegrown Games have been dropping by from time to time to keep us updated on their progress on the very exciting-looking new chapter in the Robert D. Anderson series of Lovecraftian games. The Intern's Story page now features a free downloadable selection of music from the series including eerie tracks by Allicorn and evocative period pieces by Ted Lewis and Sam Lanin's Dance Ensemble.

Quin pointed me to this rather excellent Half-Life 2 mod Dear Esther from the Chineseroom project at Portsmouth Uni. A truly unique gaming experience about exploration and emergent narrative. A clever and fascinating concept, brilliant voice performance and a beautiful soundtrack by Jessica Curry make it a must see IMHO.
