Charles Dexter Ward game in production

Congratulations are in order for Terrormaster of Digital Necropolis on the launch of his new site and project: Mythos Adventures - a home for a new, planned series of Lovecraftian adventure games.

Robert D. Anderson

Some friendly chaps from Homegrown Games have been dropping by from time to time to keep us updated on their progress on the very exciting-looking new chapter in the Robert D. Anderson series of Lovecraftian games. For a taste of some of the excellent teaser shots available so far, drop by our forum and check out Homegrown's own site (in both German & English) for more info.

Intern Soundtrack Available

The Intern's Story page now features a free downloadable selection of music from the series including eerie tracks by Allicorn and evocative period pieces by Ted Lewis and Sam Lanin's Dance Ensemble.

Dear Esther

Quin pointed me to this rather excellent Half-Life 2 mod Dear Esther from the Chineseroom project at Portsmouth Uni. A truly unique gaming experience about exploration and emergent narrative. A clever and fascinating concept, brilliant voice performance and a beautiful soundtrack by Jessica Curry make it a must see IMHO.

The Intern's Story part 3

Is hiring!

The HL2 source based interactive horror story mod needs a crew.
A brooding sanitarium holds an ancient power that is searching for a way to regain its hold over a New England community. The Intern's Story, is a game set in the classic Call of Cthulhu setting of 1920s New England as described by the imagination of H.P. Lovecraft.

Anybody out there?

Testing, testing. 123 testing.
Is this thing turned on...

New Intern's Story Releases

Quin's "The Intern's Story" continues to grow into quite the "franchise" with the much anticipated release of a new re-imagining of the first chapter (originally release for UT99) made with the Source Engine for Half-Life 2.

All told, there are now three intense and eerie installments of Intern and this latest is the most horrifying yet. Check it out on the Intern's Story page.

And the long-suffering Intern isn't done yet... there's more to come!

Duality

Duality is a text-adventure that tells the stories of two men: on the one hand Howard Blake, exploring Carlham Asylum and struggling to get at the truth surrounding the incarceration of a certain inmate. On the other, Alec Murray, reliving his hideous experiences, desperate to stop fiendish occult forces and prevent the downfall of the human race. Spanning four chapters, Duality is an original work that draws inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft and medieval demonology.

More details and the all important download can be found on the Duality page.

Intern's Story Release

11/01/07: Key Arkhamsoft 'playa' Quinjet releases a fantastic Lovecraftian vignette for Unreal Tournament. Visit the homepage and learn that being asked to make the tea is not the worst thing can happen on your first day at work...

The Intern's Story

Well, that took a little longer than I expected.

28/05/06: Anyhow: You will now find our latest map release here-- Reverend Speed is quite pleased with it, actually - we've finally got the rooms and corridors for the Admin building (B&C) - all four floors - laid out. You can now take a walk outside and check out the front of the building. If you're familiar with the original layout of Danvers I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. You'll also find a variety of new rooms and locations... some of which we've had to make up, most of which have been sourced from maps, photographs and captures from the film Session 9. More details? INDEED.
